It seems like common sense, but your parents were on to something when they told you to eat your vegetables and exercise regularly. In a five year long study with over 7,000 scientific studies done by the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research; about one third of cancers worldwide could be wiped out through proper diet and exercise. Being overweight and not being physically active increases your chances of developing cancer. Eating lots of red meats and drinking alcohol doesn’t help either. You have to eat lots of plant foods. Fruits and vegetables have been proven to be effective agents against cancers of the lung, digestive tract, and the prostate.
